You will arrive at the Juneau International Airport where you will be met by me your guide/escort for the trip. We will meet and greet other guests before we depart to the Mendenhall Lake Campground which will be our base camp for the trip. Once settled into your tent, we will then meet and discuss the itinerary.  I like to keep the itinerary fluid as weather conditons will greatly dictate the order in which we embark on our excursions. You will receive an updated itinerary prior to arrival.   This trip will include kayaking, whale watching, hiking and multipe visits to historic downtown Juneau.  Breakfast, lunch and snacks will be included for each guest.  We will spend our evenings in Juneau for dinner, where you will be free to explore and have dinner on your own before we head back to camp and settle for the night. Excursions can be customized to meet your needs. Be sure to discuss changes in itinerary duirng your consultation.  This trip books at $1150 per person as listed, itinerary can be customized to fit preferences, (depending on availability, prices subject to change as itinerary changes)

1.  Will we still go on excursions if it is raining?

• Yes we will continue to do all of our excursions rain or shine! We may change the order  in which we do them but we will enjoy them all.

2. What will the sleeping arrangements be?

• Each trip is set up to accomodate 2-4 guests.  All guests will sleep 2 or 4 to a tent depenidng on group make up and preference.

3. Will camp be comfortable if its raining?

• Camp will be set up to protect us from the elements.  You may experience times of dampness or it can be chilly but with proper gear Juneau duirng the rain is doable.

4. What are meals like?

• I will set up a menu based on preferences given from the guests.  Breakfast is a basic hot ceareal or breakfast burritos with fruit and coffee or tea. Lunch kits are provided and can be built by each guest to be taken on our excursions. 

5. Will there be wildlife?

• Yes there is always a possibility we will encounter wildlife.  Bears have been seen at Mendenhall, therefore, we will abide by the rules when it comes to keeping a clean and sanitary camp site. Nothing but clothing and bedding in tents. NO FOOD or scented items. We will store all bear attractants in a bear box by the camp site.  Bear spray will be available  (1 can per adult) if you wish to carry it. 

6. Will we abide by LNT (Leave No Trace)? 

• YES, we will maintain ourselves on improved trails, we will not take anything from the beaches or forests and we will not leave trash including waste paper in the forest. We will pack it in and pack it out.  (Waste bags will be provided to each guest)

7. Can our guide take pictures for us?

• Yes, your guide/escort will be available to take photos for you and your group.

8. What is your deposit and refund policy?

• We require a $250 deposit per person to reserve your spot.
• Balance is due on June 1st or you will forefit your deposit and trip.

             Refunds: 

• 100% minus $50 restocking fee before 5/1/2024
• 50% minus $50 restocking fee before 5/15/2024
• 25% minus $50 restocking fee before 6/1/2024
