Itinerary:
- Day 1 Travel day to Guatemala City
- Arrive at local hotel accomodation. Personal day w/afternoon group meeting.
- Day 2 Meet in the morning and shuttle to Antigua
- Check into accomodations
- Antigua City tour
- Prep for HIke/Climb
- Day 3 Climb Acatenango! 13054' (see notes below)
- NO CLIMB options are available (ATV of 4x4 Local tour)
- Day 4 Kaqchikel Maya Kingdom/Hobbitenango
- Day 5 Pacaya Volcano/Hot Springs 8373'
- NO CLIMB options available
- Day 6 Return to Guatemala City
- Check into accomodations
- Guatemala City tour
- Day 7 Depart
- We will meet for breakfast and say our goodbyes.

Climbing above 8000'
Altitude sickness can occur above 8000'. Please be sure to be prepared to turn around if you find that you are experienceing any symptons of altitude sickness. We will discuss this further in your consultation. These are not technical climbs but they are fully exposed without shade and carrying appropriate water and gear is necessary.

FAQs
- VIsas- There are no visa requirements for US citizens. You will need a valid passport on entry.
- Safety- The Guatemalan government has taken great care to imporve safety fo rits visiotrs. THere is an increased risk to all travelers and it is necessary to be mindful in all of your surroundings.
- Currency- It is recommended that you do bring a small amount of QTQ to smaller towns as they don't always exchange is best made at the airport or at your bank. Plan accordingly. Credit is always accepted when available.
- DO NOT BRING: recreational drugs, arms or ammunition including knives, food items.
- Make sure all prescription medications are labeled with your name on the original bottle.

This will be an accompanied retreat. All group experiences will be provided by reputable tour opperators in Guatemala. Montana HIking Gal will send a representative with this trip to accomodate the changes in itineraries and to assist guests with transfers and logistics. We highly recommend trip insurance, travel medical insurance. Each guest will sign a liability waiver and will agree that they have the fitness and ability to perform all tours and excursions and will take full responsibility for themselves on this retreat.
